Multisensory Math Methods
Multisensory math sessions allow your child to learn with the use of hands on manipulatives to develop strong conceptual understanding. This will aid the student in understanding the ‘why’ behind the procedure at the abstract level. All sessions are 50 minutes long and held over Zoom. I will give you a list of manipulatives your child will need so he or she can follow along with what I do and have the hands on experience.
Utilizing methods from training courses taken with Making Math Real® Institute, Marilyn Zecher at the Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center, and research into Ronit Bird, RightStart, Chris Woodin and Steve Chinn, methods and activities are identified that work best for each individual student. I specialize in filling in the gaps that children have, no matter what the age.
